The New Wireless Standard Will be Available in 2012


Next year we expect the emergence of devices that use the latest wireless standard 802.11ac, which provides data transfer rate is three times higher than the current standard 802.11n.

The new standard uses the 5 GHz frequency range and in addition provides an increase in the rate of coverage. When using 80-MHz channels in the room, where there is no interference, provided the rate of about 1 Gbit / s and at 160-MHz channels, the rate increases to 1.2 Gb / s and more. For comparison, in the same conditions with 802.11n provides a 300 Mbit / sec.
